Jessie Petrides is a professional violinist and Suzuki certified violin teacher in books 1-10. Jessie received her Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan studying under Aaron Berofsky, and her Master’s Degree in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music studying under the Cleveland Orchestra’s principle second violinist, Stephen Rose.  While at CIM, Jessie participated in the long-term Suzuki teacher training program instructed by Kimberly Meier-Sims.  Additional Suzuki tutelage was received from Edmund Sprunger.  Ms. Meier-Sims and Mr. Sprunger were both students of Doctor Shinichi Suzuki in Japan. 

Jessie is currently a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra, and also enjoys other gigging opportunities in the greater Cleveland area.  She has a private violin studio at her home in Twinsburg, as well as studios in Chagrin Falls at Warren Henry Music and in Shaker Heights at St. Dominic’s Catholic Parish.  She has had additional teaching opportunities the past two years working with orchestra conductor and professional bassist Dianna Richardson through the Cleveland School of the Arts and Cuyahoga Community College.  At the School of the Arts, Jessie has been teaching private lessons as well as coaching sectionals for the members of the middle school and high school orchestras.  Jessie joined the staff of Tri-C’s T.O.P. program recently, as a violin instructor and beginning theory teacher.  Before beginning her private teaching studios recently, Jessie had two and a half years of teaching experience at Royalton Music Center in North Royalton. She started teaching the 1/3 graders at Kenston School.
Jessie has a great love for teaching and working with children of all ages.  She is devoted to helping each of her students develop as young people, and as musicians.
