MPA Violin 2011 Program
For our camp this summer, we propose our young violinists, beginners, intermediaye or advanced, a different format from the school year classes. Young violinists will travel through the time and the world with their violin.
Violin Summer Trip
Travel Dates: We will offer a violin camp on Wednesdays morning, 9:30 to 11:00 from July 6 to August 3 (i.e. five 90-minute classes). Itinerary: Day 1: Back to Mozart and Beethoven’s - music pieces, crafts, games and activities. Day 2: First stop-Mexico and mariachi violin tunes, crafts and fiesta! Day 3: Ireland. Irish fiddle tunes, snacks, Irish folklore and fun. Day 4: Back to the US, home of rock! Rockin’ violin tunes, face painting, jam session, and snacks. Day 5: Mini concert for all families. Travelers: The violin tour is open to all children whatever their level or age. Tour Guides: In order to accommodate each level/age, Ardis Billey will be assisted by a second violin instructor, Jessie Petrides, violin teacher at CIM. Therefore, the camp will alternate common activities and games, and level-appropriate workshops. Ardis and Jessie will also offer some private or semi-private classes immediately after the camp, open to all students, whether they are attending the camp or not – however those students attending the camp will logically benefit from a discounted private lesson rate.

· Registration Fee:
The rate for the 5-morning camp, from 7/6 to 8/3, 90-minute class, is $130.00. Violin Rental & Security Deposit: For those students who do not have their own violin, this will include violin rental during whole summer. A one-time $75.00 guarantee deposit check will be required, not cashed in and returned with a violin returned in good original state. The rates for the private or semi-private lessons will be calculated based on time and number of participants.
