Harp Live Music for All Events ~ String & Music Classes for All Ages
School or Group Violin Programs
The violin programs proposed by Ardis Music Studio will accompany young violinists' first steps, and beyond, in the magic world of playing this fabulous instrument. It offers the ideal combination of a non-pressured teaching and the rigor of a musical training with a professional teacher. In the same respect, children participate in regular group lessons and performance at which they learn from, and are motivated by, each other, while they have fun together. Total beginners, from Kindergarten to grade 6 are offered a yearly program of six 6-week sessions (possible adjustments based on school calendar). This curriculum follows the levels presented by the American String Teachers Association, a national standard for school string programs, as well as the Suzuki and the Mark O’Connor methods.
Parents do not need to buy an instrument for these classes. Ardis Music Studio will supply each child with the appropriate size violin to practice in class and at home (from session #2) and upgrade it as she/he grows up. Ardis Music Studio started in 2008 the violin program at Menlo Park Academy - a school for gifted students - and at fall 2010 at Kenston schools - 100 students enrolled so far in those two programs. We will start in September 2011 violin programs at Hudson , Chagrin Falls and West Geauga schools.
Menlo Park Academy
Ardis Music Studio started in November 2008 the violin program as an elective at Menlo Park Academy, a school for gifted students on the the West Side. The program is now gathering 60 violinists. The most advanced violinists are part of the MPA Violin Ensemble that proudly holds concerts in the school and outside. Summer camps are held every year at Saint Thomas Lutheran Church in Rocky River.
Kenston Schools
Ardis Music Studio started in December 2010 the violin program at Kenston Schools. The program is an after school class offered by Kenston Community Ed. Classes are offered from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Summer camps will be held from June to August 2011 for beginners and intermediate violinists.
