Since 2008, Ardis Billey has been very happy to teach and train a growing group of young violinists at Menlo Park Academy, following the pedagogy, and the philosophy, developed by Dr Suzuki, the famous founder of the Suzuki method. Each year, and as MPA welcomes more and more students, we offer a growing number of violin classes for beginning and already playing students of all levels. The Menlo Violin Ensemble that gathers the most advanced violinists is now counting a dozen of performers, and has given in 2011 its first concerts and performances in school and outside.
School Year 2011-2012 Violin Electives
For this new school year, and as MPA welcomes more and more students, Ardis offers again violin training as an elective class for beginning and advanced students of all levels. Classes will take place on Wednesdays or Fridays during the school hour, depending on elective class schedule. I will supply each student with the appropriate size violin.
Family Recitals: All students, beginner, intermediate, advanced will perform at a mid-term and a final recital - dates & location TBD - where parents, siblings, friends will be all invited. I will also offer private or semi-private lessons during recess on Wednesday and Friday. For further information just call at (440) 338 5508 or email atardis@ardismusic.com. Registration Fees & Security Deposit
Ardis Music Studio will supply each student with the appropriate size violin. Beginners will first work on a practice box instrument provided by the instructor. Violin Rental Fees are compulsory. Rental Fees are payable either quarterly or yearly: > Quarterly: $90.00 per quarter, payable respectively upon registration, by December 1st, 2011 and by March 1st, 2011. > Yearly: $240.00 payable upon registration. > Siblings will benefit from a 10% discount.
Private lessons: if you decide to take additional private or semi-private lessons, we will apply a discount of 10% on our basic fees. Click here.
The rented violin is expected to return in the same condition after ending the rental period. A $75 one-time security deposit - check not cashed in - will be held by instructor until violin is returned in good working condition. If damage to the instrument or bow exceeds normal wear and tear, or if the instrument is lost, Ardis Music Studio reserves the right to charge for necessary repairs or replacement.
*In case of quarterly payment option: 3 payments upon registration, by December 1, 2011, by March 1, 2012. This is not an automatic process, and you will have to process the respective payment on each due date.
